The Heathers Specialist Care home is a 34 bed care home for past and present alcohol abuse. We provide care and support for residents of all ages with past and present alcohol problems, in a environment that encourages them to continue their life as close as possible to living in the community.
The Heathers offers a warm and comfortable environment in grounds approaching a third of a acre. we have found success with our controlled drinking programme , giving stability in their drinking patterns.
Our experienced staff are trained in how to deal with residents with Korsakoff’s, alcohol abuse, related mental health issues and challenging behaviour. the home has a high success rate with residents who have been frequent visitors to A & E admissions.
The home has a strong commitment to residents being fully involved with there care plans and encourages residents to be vocal in there views, both on a 1-1 basis and in residents meetings. the home actively encourages communication with family.
