Description
Penderels Trust offers advice, guidance and practical solutions to enable people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes, to achieve their goals in life and help them to play an active part in their community.
We are a not-for-profit organisation and have been a leading provider of advice and guidance to people with disabilities and older people for over twenty years. We offer a number of services to support people make the most of their personal budget/direct payment, from advice and guidance when employing a personal assistant to money management and training.
If you receive a direct payment and wish to use an agency for your care and would like someone else (a third party) to manage your care funds, this option may be suitable for you. We will support you with working out the costs of your care package, managing your care money, choosing the right care agency for you and reviewing your care package to ensure everything is going to plan. You will receive 10 hours of support with this package. Usually, you will use most of these hours in the first month or two when we are working together to set up your care package.
The remaining hours can then be used to review how your support plan is going. The money from your care package (e.g. your direct payment and your own contribution) is received by Penderels Trust. We will arrange to pay all agreed bills for your care (such as agency invoices) from the money we hold on your behalf. We will only be able to authorise payments in line with your agreed budget. You will still have responsibility for your own money.
If you require any further information, please submit a request for service outlining your requirements and we will contact you to discuss.
