Description

Our fully-trained Volunteer Mentors can offer you one-to-one support to help you achieve defined goals. Social interaction, building self-confidence and motivating clients to access activities and services are some of the goals that mentoring achieves for individuals. Volunteer Mentors can help with improving your confidence and self-esteem, making links in the community, attending appointments and managing finances and benefits.

All Volunteers have undergone a thorough recruitment, selection, training and induction process. All volunteers have a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring certificate (CRB).

Volunteer mentors will be able to help with a variety of things such as:
• Help to overcome social isolation by accompanying you to social activities
• A chance to meet up with someone who can help you to build up confidence
• Support in attending an appointment. This could be in relation to benefits, debt or housing problems, or appointments to any other agencies
• Support with attending hospital appointments
• Someone attending court with you
• Support with training and employment issues
