The Bradford City FC Community Foundation is a non-profit organisation and the official charitable arm of Bradford City Football Club. It is dedicated to inspiring and educating the local community through a range of inclusive programs focused on sports, education, health, and social inclusion. As a self-funded charity, the Foundation provides a safe and enjoyable environment that promotes personal development and community cohesion.
Football and Multi-Sports Coaching – The Foundation delivers structured football and sports coaching for boys and girls of all abilities, aligning with the National Curriculum. These sessions run during term time and across various venues in the Bradford District, ensuring young people have opportunities to develop skills in a supportive setting.
Holiday Coaching Camps – During school holidays, the Foundation hosts 2, 3, and 4-day coaching camps, offering football training, games, and engaging activities tailored to different age groups.
Disability Clubs – The Foundation runs inclusive football and multi-sports sessions for individuals with disabilities, ensuring everyone can participate in a welcoming, adapted environment. These sessions take place every Friday evening and Sunday morning at Bradford College.
School Partnerships & Competitions – Working with local schools, the Foundation provides term-time coaching, competitions, and fundraising events such as a six-week free coaching scheme with a penalty shoot-out challenge to help schools raise funds.
Coach Education Courses – To support skill development within the community, the Foundation offers FA-accredited coaching courses, including Level I, II, and III coaching certifications, Child Protection, and Emergency First Aid training.
Community Engagement & Social Inclusion – Beyond sports, the Foundation leads initiatives to support local communities, reduce isolation, and promote well-being. These include -
The Friendship Café – A dementia-friendly social space offering interactive activities, peer support, and hybrid sessions for those unable to attend in person.
The Food Pantry – A low-cost food support initiative helping individuals and families struggling with food insecurity.
