The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council wishes to inform organisations of its plans for Local Community Support Grants. They are for:
- People with a learning disability and/or who are neurodivergent
- Older People
- Communities of Interest
They should:
- Support people to support themselves and each other to enhance or maintain people’s level of independence, including encouraging people to actively move around where possible.
- Be fun, varied and challenging.
- Give people the opportunity to explore new interests or get involved in things they did previously.
- Must engage with people in their local communities to connect people of different backgrounds, and encourage people who might be isolated to attend the group.
- They must ensure the group is inclusive and increases involvement by adopting a flexible approach to support people to access the group who have more significant care needs.
The maximum amount we will fund is £11,918.30 p.a. per project. With each organisation able to apply for up to three (3) grants.
Applicants may seek clarification or ask questions about the grant process or regarding the contents of these guidance notes by submitting a request via email: ASCGrantsInbox@bradford.gov.uk
