Brighter Days Supports

Brighter Days Supports is a specialist care and support provider based in Bradford, committed to helping people live the lives that feel right for them. Founded by Joanne and Rebecca, we created Brighter Days because we believe support should be compassionate, flexible, and genuinely person-centred — not a one-size-fits-all system.

We work with adults aged 18-65 who may be neurodivergent, have learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical or sensory differences, or more complex social circumstances. Every person we support is recognised as an individual with their own goals, preferences, communication style, and pace.

Brighter Days Supports is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), giving the people we support — and their families — confidence that our services are safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.

We provide flexible home-based and community support, designed around what matters to each person. This may include building independence, developing life skills, increasing confidence, accessing the community, exploring interests, maintaining routines, or working towards long-term personal goals.

Because support needs vary, we do not offer standard packages. Instead, we work closely with each person to plan support their way, at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.

Where possible, we also match support workers based on personality, rapport, and shared interests, helping form real relationships built on trust.

At Brighter Days Supports, we don’t fit people into rigid systems or standard packages. Instead, we shape support around each person’s lifestyle, identity, communication style, and needs. We understand neurodivergence and complex support not as problems to be “managed” but as unique lived experiences that require understanding, patience, and respect.

Our team are chosen as much for their compassion and values as their professional skills. We invest time in matching, consistency, and building safe, trusting relationships — because feeling understood is the foundation of good care.

We believe everyone, of every neurotype and ability, deserves the chance to live a happy, independent, and fulfilled life with the right support behind them.

At Brighter Days Supports, we don’t just provide care —
we champion individuality, dignity, and brighter days ahead.

What do we offer?

Brighter Days Supports offers flexible, person-centred care designed around individual needs, routines, and aspirations. Our work includes home-based support, social inclusion and community access, support with daily living skills, companionship, and emotional support, right through to more structured independent living and supported-living style arrangements. We provide tailored support packages — from just a few hours a week to regular daily input — giving people help with personal care, routines, appointments, household tasks, and meaningful activity in the community. Whether someone needs social confidence, life-skills development, maintaining their home, or support to live safely and independently, we build support creatively around what matters to them, rather than expecting them to fit into a standard service.

Who do we support?

Brighter Days Supports works with adults who need personalised, flexible care in their homes and communities, including people who are neurodivergent, living with learning disabilities, experiencing mental health challenges, managing complex social or emotional needs, adjusting to trauma, or living with physical or sensory differences. We particularly welcome individuals who may not fit into traditional services, who communicate differently, or who benefit from extra patience, consistency, and personalised support. Whether someone needs a few hours a week, daily input, or structured independence-building, we focus on what matters to them — their pace, comfort, goals, routines, and identity — ensuring every person is understood, respected, and supported to live safely, confidently, and meaningfully.

How can you access this service?

Our service can be accessed in a way that suits each person’s circumstances — through local authority referrals, social workers and commissioning teams, or via personal budgets and direct payments for those who want more choice and control. We also welcome privately funded enquiries from individuals, families, carers, or professionals who feel our style of support would be a good fit. After an initial conversation, we arrange a friendly assessment to understand needs, routines, risks, goals, and preferred ways of working, and we work collaboratively with everyone involved to design a support plan that feels safe, realistic, and meaningful. Whether support is short-term, long-term, small hours, or a more comprehensive package, we make access simple, personal, and built around the individual.

How long can we support you for?

Support with Brighter Days does not have a fixed time limit — people can access our service for as long as they need it. For some, this may be short-term support to build confidence, develop independence, or get through a difficult period; for others, it may be longer-term or ongoing support that provides stability, routine, and consistency. We can offer just a few hours, structured weekly input, or full daily packages, and we review support regularly to make sure it continues to reflect a person’s progress, goals, and comfort. If someone requires increased or reduced support over time, we adapt flexibly, making sure the individual is always at the centre of the decision-making.

What facilities do we have?

All of our care and support is delivered either in the person’s own home or out in the community, meaning we do not rely on fixed buildings or centre-based facilities. Instead, we bring support directly to the individual, in the environment where they feel safest, most comfortable, and most in control. This approach allows people to develop life skills in real settings — shops, cafés, public transport, leisure spaces, appointments, or their own living environment — rather than in artificial or clinical spaces. By working this way, we make sure support is practical, meaningful, and rooted in everyday life, helping each person grow confidence, independence, and social connection in the places that matter to them.

How is the service managed, Housing or Care?

Brighter Days Supports is managed as a care and support service rather than a housing provider. We do not offer accommodation or hold tenancies — individuals live in their own homes or supported housing arrangements, and we provide the care around them. Our management focus is on safe, person-centred support in line with CQC requirements, ensuring that staff, care planning, training, and safeguarding are delivered to a high standard. Housing responsibilities remain with the landlord, housing provider, or local authority, while our role is to deliver flexible care and community-based support within that living environment.

What areas do we support in?

Brighter Days Supports operates across Bradford and the neighbouring communities, offering flexible, tailored support in people’s own homes and throughout the local area. We focus on delivering care where it matters most — in familiar, everyday environments that promote independence, inclusion, and comfort for the individuals we support.
