Action Point Community Support Services

Bradford Provider List

Action Point is a Keighley based charity delivering a wide range of services for people in the district. We work with a range of people with additional support needs including older people, people with learning disabilities, people with mental health difficulties and  other disadvantaged groups.

  • Volunteer Point - a FREE Volunteering brokerage for the local community;
  • Tea & Toast – A FREE Monday morning drop in offering a free conversation café for the public (this is a welcoming space funded by Bradford Council).
  • Carelink – A FREE  Befriending and practical support service  for lonely and isolated people from Keighley and surrounding areas. 
  • Supported VolunteeringProject A support service for adults with learning disabilities 1:1 support to enable adults with learning disabilities to volunteer in not-for profits across the district.  This service is on the DAPL with sessional rates. 
  • Silverlinks- A Subsidised social day group for people over 65 (Wednesdays and Thursdays).
  • Leisure Link- A Social and recreational group for adults with a learning disability (mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays). This is an approved day service - fees at approved council rates).
  • Boogie Nights Disco - Social nights for adults with extra support needs (£3 on the door).
  • Sensory Space- Sensory room for people with extra support needs (£10 per hour).
  • 2nd Time Around Charity Shop providing a sheltered work placement for adults with extra support needs and a free clothing voucher scheme via key partners.
  • Work Shop – a tailored work skills programme for adults with support needs (approved day service - fees at approved council rates).
  • Uniform Swap Shop- Each year we provide free school uniforms over the 6-week holidays.
  • Mental health peer support group –   A FREE service - A protected space facilitated by staff but planned with the attendees.
  • O.A.K Older Active Keighley (A FREE group that supports Older People to join in weekly day trips).
