Bradnet - Supported Living (Learning Disabilities)
Bradford Provider List
Bradnet is a Bradford-based registered charity, providing supported living for young people and adults with learning disabilities since 2005.
We support people to live safely, independently and with choice in their own homes and local communities. Our support is shaped around the person — their needs, routines, goals and what matters to them.
Who we support
We support young people and adults with learning disabilities, including people who:
- Need support to live independently
- Have complex or high-level support needs
- Require 1:1, 2:1 or shared support
- Have additional mental health needs
- Display behaviour that challenges, particularly during periods of change or distress
- Find daily living difficult without support
- Have experienced placement breakdown or instability
Support can range from a few hours a week to 24/7 support, including waking night support.
What support we provide
Support is planned with you and based on your individual needs. We focus on helping you live the life you choose. This includes support to:
- Feel safe, settled and secure at home
- Spend time with family, friends and people who matter to you
- Build daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and managing a home
- Go out into the community and take part in social or leisure activities
- Use local shops, services and public transport
- Keep your home and tenancy running smoothly
- Manage money, budgeting and benefits
- Look after your health, attend appointments and take medication safely
- Maintain personal care, hygiene and wellbeing
- Explore work, volunteering, education or day opportunities if you want to
- Communicate your needs and be understood
Support is flexible and reviewed regularly so it can change as your needs change.
How we work
- Support plans are written with you, not for you
- Families and carers are involved where you want them to be
- Staff are matched carefully to provide consistency and trust
- Support is delivered calmly and reliably, even during challenging periods
- Changes in need or risk are identified early and addressed before they escalate
- Support can be increased or reduced safely over time
- Our focus is on maintaining stable placements and reducing unnecessary change.
