Grange Interlink Adult Learning day services
Bradford Provider List
The Grange Interlink has a wellbeing walking group with a group of Pepople We support with mixed ability & needs.They access a range of Community led activities & these are dictated by the People We Support
They use our Hub as abreak base to ensure all the Pepole We Support have access to tea & coffee & toilet break & also use the Hub for lunch times breaks depending on the weather.
As well as our own Transport they also use Public Transport & do some 1-1 work with individuals in the Community to gain life skills which gives them confidence to be more indipendent.
Wellbeing walking groups which incorporate, Canal Walks,Country Parks,Visiting new Towns & places of interests.Museums,Galleries,Harrogate Ilkey & also visit different Garden centers,Railway Museums ,Steam Trains & also visit Airports wacthing planes land & take off .
We also encourage People we Support in singing Activities in the community which the people we support enjoy to do.We try to incorporate life skills into the day around all aspects of like from Personal Care. People We Support are encouraged to independently pay for iterms they buy - lunch shopping ect to promote life skills & independence.
Also we cover afternoon Tea ,Boat trips on the Canal,Christmas Markets ,Faith visits to different places of worship & also visit Sporting events.
We have a active People We Support meeting group that people are involved in changing things within our service or activities they would like to do,also discussing what`s working & what`s not working as a team.
They attend different Hubs meetings to give feedback to what they have discussed .We also support the People We Support on out of hours activity that are relevant to the time of year e.g Bonfire events ,Christmas Concerts visiting the Blackpool Lights we have also visited different Football stadiums visits.During the summer months costal vistis are very popular with the groups.
