What do we offer?
Our TLC has been a provider of high-quality supported living services and home care service for over twenty-five years. We have consistently delivered personalised support of the highest standard, placing people who use the service at the centre of everything we do. Our overriding aim is to provide a professional, caring and dignified service to meet individual needs of each person. Our priority is to enhance the quality of life for people, in helping people with mental health needs to recover and for all the people we support to live a full and active life as possible. Our commitment is to constantly strive to champion the rights, choices, wishes and aspirations of the people whom we provide support and care. We do this by promoting the key principles of care: Privacy — The right of a person to be left alone and undisturbed whenever they wish. Dignity — The understanding of a person's individual needs and for each person to be treated with respect treating individuals in a dignified manner. Independence — Empowering a person to take positive risks, to make their own decisions, and to think and act for themselves, where this is possible. Choice — Where people have the opportunity to exercise their own decisions, follow their aspirations and select for themselves from a range of options. Rights — Respecting and protecting a person's human rights. Fulfilment — Supporting enabling and empowering a person to realise their own aims and goals and supporting them to achieve these goals in all aspects of their daily living. Philosophy of Care and Support The team at Our TLC aims to provide people receiving services with a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment, in which their happiness, support, care and well-being are of priority. Our managers, senior support staff and support staff will strive to promote and maintain each person's dignity, individuality and privacy. We will always respond with sensitivity to each individual's changing needs, to ensure that these are met. Each person, their relatives and supporters are encouraged to be involved with and to contribute to assessment, and the development and ongoing review of their support plan, reflecting their holistic needs and how these will be met, in line with their wishes and aspirations. Our TLC aims to promote people's journey of recovery. We respect and value the need for people to engage in meaningful daytime occupation as part of the care and support plan in place. We offer an individualised and meaningful program of activities, designed to promote independence, self-esteem, social interaction with others, citizenship and engagement with our local community.
