VIP Day Centre Bradford
Our services provide day respite for anyone who may be living alone, or who is alone during the day due to carers/family going out to work, for people with all types of dementia, sensory impairments and disabilities. The service can be accessed either through social care or self funding as well as transport. It would be £12.50 an hour, the cost is slightly different if one to one is needed. Initially, there will be an assessment to get to know the member in terms of medication taken, likes and dislikes, personal information, and general background. Transport will come at a small cost if the member doesn't have a bus pass. Lunch is also provided with a low cost of just £5 accompanied by a pudding. There will be alternatives offered daily if there is something on the menu that they don't prefer, as well as hot/cold drinks throughout the day, and a snack.
The aim of the centre is to to actively keep the members engaged in activities they'd enjoy, as well as reducing their social isolation, and allowing them to maintain their interests. It's set to be one of the first day centres Monday to Friday. Members can also choose which days and times suit them best.
