BYDP - Men's Health & Wellbeing Project

Men's H&WB Project, working with Men 50+ will start recruiting during April 2025 and start to deliver regular weekly sessions from May 2025.
It will provide physical exercise sessions such as Walking Group, Yoga and Stretching Exercises as well trips / walks using local parks and green spaces as well use of the Yorkshire Dales and trips further afield.

When

Tuesdays, 1.45 - 2.30pm at Mehmoodia Mosque, off Oak Lane / St Mary's Road, Bradford, BD8 7LR. Wednesdays, 1.00 - 2.45pm at Victor Street Mosque, Victor Street, Bradford, BD9 4RA. Saturdays, 10.00 - 11.30, meet at the Bowling Green / Car Park at Lister Park,Bradford. Sundays 2.15pm - 3.00pm at Masjid Nur, The Lux Mosque, Haworth Raod, Bradford, BD9 6LH. Times may vary over the year and additional sessions / activities may be organised.

BYDP was set up in December 1999 and currentlu operates in the Manningham, Heaton and Toller Wards of Bradford West Constituency. It provides weekly physical activities for young people in Heaton as well as running Health & Wellbeing sessions at 2 secondary schools in the area. We have been developing the Heaton Health Hub, based at the Heaton Medical Practice for both young people as well as older people and have run taster sessions on Karate, Kickboxing, walking group and trips to the Dales. We have a well attended Study Support / Homework every Saturday attended by over 50 young people. BYDP has also been delivering food parcel to needy families since the 2020 Covid -19 Pandemic.
