Mens Shed Burley-in-Wharfedale

Men’s Sheds are community spaces for men to connect, converse and create.

Burley Men's Shed meets in the Burley Bowls Club Pavilion, from 10am to 12pm on the First and the Third Wednesday of each month.

Burley Men's Shed is a registered charity and is a Social Shed, it does not have Workshop facilities. Instead, we maintain a sharp focus on Well-being, by enabling social connections, friendship building, and the sharing of knowledge, skills and experiences through conversation, as well as the banter and fun!

Being a part of this can help to reduce loneliness and isolation, bringing about benefits to both physical and mental health, together with a sense of renewed purpose and belonging. The majority or our members/attendees are over retirement age.

There is a different theme/activity at each meeting, but the essence of our Shed is the making of social connections. Each month we also try and run trips/tours to interesting places, some local, some further afield.

We have an open-door presence in the local community, and you will find us to be a friendly and inclusive group, where you can just come along and see your mates!

Simply drop by, enjoy a chat, tea or coffee, and in our case, some bacon butties!
