Keighley Creative's Art for the Brain Group

The Monday Arts for the Brain Group is a 2-hour, weekly session for people living with a dementia, offering a safe and stimulating environment where both the person living with dementia and a carer can make time for themselves to explore creative opportunities, socialise, and join in with group story making. This is a great place to come and have a go at something creative and meet new people. We run sessions face-to-face in The Orange Room at Keighley Creative, and online over Zoom for when people can’t get out. The group is friendly and welcoming to all, and new members are always welcome. We explore lots of different activities, including painting, felting, printmaking and clay work. We look at art and photographs together and we share stories. Monday Creative is designed with the needs of people living with all stages and types of dementia and long term neurological conditions in mind, and the needs of the people who are caring for them. We have spouses, children, professional carers, friends and family members who stay and get involved. This is a kind, caring, fun and stimulating learning environment in the heart of Keighley.
