Tai-Chi Style Exercise for People with Dementia and Carers
Join us for relaxing and enjoyable exercise routines which have been adapted from Tai Chi for the needs of people with dementia and their carers. The low-impact nature of Tai Chi makes it accessible to everyone and regular Tai Chi practice has been shown to slow the progression of dementia symptoms in some cases. Additionally, the movements of Tai Chi can help caregivers manage stress and can strengthen the bond between the caregiver and the person with dementia, creating a shared activity that promotes positive interactions. The class also includes a refreshment break when there is time to talk to others and make new friends.
