Keighley Autism Hub: A Free Social Skills Support Group for Autistic Adults (ASC/ASD)
The Keighley Autism Hub, a weekly informal session, receive information and guidance from our experienced staff team and other professionals, make new friends, share experiences and learn new social skills and coping strategies with other autistic adults.
The Hub provides the opportunity for group discussion with peers, guidance and information from our staff team and other professionals, together with an opportunity for participants to engage in 1:1 support to explore issues affecting them on a personal level.
The sessions are member led and the discussion topics determined by the individuals accessing them, these will be discussed and agreed in advance so that people are aware of the following week's activities. Suggested topics might consist of healthy body healthy mind, exploring friendships, understanding Autism when completing forms such as PIP, self-awareness, knowing your rights or exploring emotions.
The Autism Hub will provide and facilitate: confidence building; friendships and building social networks; post diagnostic support; peer support; guest speakers from other services/those with specific experiences; preparing for employment.

Organisation Information
Specialist Autism Services has worked exclusively for and with adults (18+) on the autism spectrum and their families since 1999. We are a non-profit organisation that works with the charity Sacar to provide autism specific services across the Yorkshire region. We provide a range of services including group social skills workshops (through an autism-specific learning programme), online social skills workshops (Autism Reach), information and guidance, autism-specific counselling, employment support, autism awareness training and community outreach support. Under the name Autism First we also provide bespoke support for adults with autism and additional needs.
