55 Club
A social group for profoundly D/deaf and hard of hearing people over the age of 55 to meet together and socialise.
Majority of attendees are native British Sign Language users and the group enjoy a variety of activites ranging from dominoes to bingo and quizzes to tombolas.
They never miss an opportunity to have a party celebrating events such as Easter and Christmas and also arrange trips out to the seaside or stately homes
There is also support available in making phone calls and appointments and reading and translating correspondence from English to British Sign Language
The group runs from 9am until 1pm but majority of the attendees come from about 9 30 (so bus passes can be used and you miss the rush hour) until about 12 30
Hot drinks and a biscuit are available for £1
